The Georgetown Public Library- located very close to SU at 402 W. 8th Street- will have an interesting art show up soon: "Hot Cakes of Wax: Encaustic Art". It will feature works by the Austin chapter of Texas Wax. The Show runs February 1st-28th with an opening reception Feb 5th 4–7 pm. Details are here.
It will be interesting to see modern artworks created with technique that is typically associated with ancient Egyptian portraits.
