ArtStor can now be accessed via iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches. Users can search and browse images, zoom in and out, read accompanying data, and view previously saved image groups. This feature is not yet Android compatible, but I'd be willing to bet that ArtStor is gradually working on that.
This feature will be especially appealing to members of Dr. Hajovsky's 'Art of the Andes' course. Students can view image groups that are especially created to help them study for quizzes. Best of all, ArtStor provides a flashcard view, where users can flip the images over to test their knowledge.
For those without iDevices, fear not. Regular ArtStor provides a way to print out the images and information, which one can then take and fold or adhere to notecards. Go to 'Organize' then 'Open Image Group' and navigate to your folder (in this case Quiz 1). Then, go to the 'Share' tab and select 'Print Image Group --> Full Record'.
In order to access ArtStor mobile, you have to have an account. (On campus, Artstor recognizes your IP address, or does it via proxy within the Library tab on the SU Portal). The process is very easy: see this official step-by-step video. You'll need to do this with a regular computer.
