Old Circuit boards become New Art

I came across the artist Theo Kamecke through this interesting Wired article. He uses old circuit boards from computers and arranges them into very intricate patterns on things like boxes and armoires. It's interesting that he can take technology and turn it into items that look Byzantine, Egyptian, or even Asian.


This piece is titled Harlequin. The artist's official site can be found here. Now if only someone could come up with a creative and aesthetically pleasing use for slide carousels. The VRC has recently received at least a dozen from the SU ceramics studio, and there's plenty more squirelled away!
